Nischal Ranjinath Muniandy is a Senior Reserach Executive with the Public Finance Unit. He graduated from Universiti Malaya (UM), where he studied Public Policy. He has a wide breadth of research experience that includes telecommunications policy, urban and housing policy, and sustainable transportation policy. Currently, he specialises in state government finances, where he has taken a key role in analysing state budget transparency and state budget document availability as part of the Malaysia Open Budget Index (MyOBI) and researching the nature and history of transfers and grants between the Federal and state governments. His main interest is in urban planning and transportation funding.
