Nazirah’s work focuses on economic policy and public finance, with experience in financial and economic analysis from earlier research roles in investment banking and capital market regulation. She has led research on investment literacy, retirement readiness, and demographic ageing, with a focus on capital market participation and retirement adequacy. Her work has informed national policy discussions and contributed to Malaysia’s strategic development agendas. She has also contributed to international regulatory work, including IOSCO’s regulatory working groups. Nazirah holds a Bachelor of Economics (Finance) from IIUM and a Master of Economics (Financial Economics) from the University of Sydney.
