Coming from a political economics background, Lara ventured into the advertising industry by sheer chance. She played key roles in Bates and Y&R before starting Brand Energy, a creative consultancy company handling an array of global names such as Shell, Cadbury, and P&G. In 2003, Lara joined the M&C Saatchi network, setting up the KL office of one of the most sought-after agencies in the world. Passionate and driven, Lara has grown the agency from a mere 10 people to a staff strength of 120 today, setting up divisions in planning, design and digital over the years to remain relevant and differentiated in the ever evolving ad landscape. Under her decade-long leadership, M&C Saatchi continues to excel, winning numerous industry awards and accolades. She also sits on the board of trustees for Yayasan Tunku Abdul Rahman.
