The Institute for Democracy and Economic Affairs (IDEAS) will be hosting a public forum titled “GLC Monitor: The State of Play since GE14” on the 30th October 2019. IDEAS is a non-profit research institute dedicated to improving understanding and promoting solutions to public policy challenges in Malaysia. Our work is focused on three themes: advancing a competitive economy, ensuring trust in institutions and promoting an inclusive Malaysia.

The purpose of this forum is to provide an update on the latest development of government-linked companies (GLCs), more than one year after Pakatan Harapan won the 14th General Election. We will also release the GLC Monitor, which is the first in a series of papers that will dive deep into the major issues surrounding the GLCs. The paper will be presented by Prof. Terence Gomez, Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Administration, University Malaya.
