Carmelo Ferlito is a Senior Fellow under IDEAS’ Economics & Business Unit. He is the Commercial Director Southeast Asia at Petersime NV (Belgium) and serves as Adjunct Professor at INTI International College Subang.
Tricia Yeoh is a PhD candidate in Political Science at the School of Politics, History and International Relations at the University of Nottingham Malaysia, where she is currently lecturing at. She is currently on study leave from her position as Chief Operating Officer of IDEAS (Institute for Democracy and Economic Affairs), an independent public policy think tank based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Ali is Director of Research at IDEAS and CEO of Istanbul Network for Liberty. An economist, public policy expert and a think tank professional, he has worked as an entrepreneur, consultant, advisor, trainer, researcher and teacher.

Amir Ridzuan Jamaludin is Senior Events Officer under the External Relations division at IDEAS. A radical decentralist at heart he believes that each group, be it cultural, political or religious should be given the space to experiment with their ideals.
Wan Ya Shin
Assistant Manager, Research
Wan Ya Shin is an Assistant Manager under the Research and Publications Division at IDEAS. Her research interests include social policy, education policy, social protection, poverty and inequality.
Ya Shin was a Young Professional Fellow with the International Centre for Human Development in India, focusing on social protection in addressing life cycle vulnerabilities in Malaysia.
Finance & Accounts Executive, Operations Division
Ahmad Bashier is a finance and accounts executive under the Operations division at IDEAS. Bashier graduated with a Bachelors degree in Accountancy (Honours) from University of Malaya (UM). Before joining IDEAS he worked as an Audit Associate at Khairuddin, Hasyudeen & Razi (KHR). A conservative libertarian, Bashier believes that nothing is impossible in this world.
Researcher Coordinator, Democracy and Governance Unit
Aira Azhari is a researcher under the social policy unit at IDEAS Research and Publications Division. Aira completed her Masters in Public International Law at the London School of Economics and Political Science and did her degree in law at the University of Liverpool UK. A pacifist, Aira believes that the Golden Rule is the key to world peace: treat others like how you want to be treated.
Muhammad Adli bin Amirullah
Coordinator, Economic and Business Unit
Adli Amirullah received his Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM). He was a Royal Education Award recipient for 33rd IIUM Convocation who has shown outstanding performance in academic and co-curricular activities. Adli whose name means ‘a person who belongs to justice’ strongly believes in the principles of justice, fairness and equity.
Designer, Communications Unit, External Relations Division
Christina Chin is a designer under the External Relations Division. Christina is a senior graphic designer with more than 15 years of experience and has worked in projects such as MeadJohnson Asia, Nikon, Mont Carlo Casino, Reckitt Benckiser, CIMB, Toyota Malaysia and GlaxoSmithKline. Christina’s motto in life is do or do not, there’s no trying.
Amelia obtained her education from Dato ‘Zulkifli Muhammad Secondary School, Slim River, Perak. She has 17 years of experience in administrative & operational management in several different areas such as building management, IT solutions, legal firm, and architectural firm.
